Hi fellows! This week's page isn't as good as it could be, I'm sorry. I've been scanning the pages as I've discovered them, and I didn't happen to have the scan of page 21 (this one).
And so, for the last page I used an old jpeg I made of a scan that I used to apply to a Chicago indie comic convention (rejected).
But for an added bonus there's a scan of the last page in Blake's original self-published version. All of the online copies I found of this poem say it ends with "Opposition is true friendship". However we see in the last plate from Blake that it ends like the previous page with "whose works are only Analytics."
It's possible that the words "Opposition is true friendship" appear at the bottom of the page, underneath the picture of the snake but I looked at the highest resolution version I could find and I can't make it out.
Anyway. I just came back from visiting "Six Mile Cypress Slough" in Fort Myers. It was quite nice. A very quiet place, which I appreciated.
Okay, that's it! Next week is Christmas and I'm sure you've all been good little boys and girls! And I'm also sure that Santa Claus isn't going to leave a lump of coal in your stockings!
With th' angelic host proclaim,
"Christ is born in Bethlehem."
Hark! the herald angels sing,
"Glory to the new-born King!"
Merry Christmas, everybody!
