It Is Lent

Did you hear about the boy who was talking to the girl?

And the boy wanted to have sex?

And the girl said "No, I can't, it's Lent."

And the boy said "Uh then when you get it back can I have sex?"

Or something, I forget how that joke goes. But as we all know, giving up a sin for Lent "doesn't count", as it were. One has to give up something one likes doing in order to build a greater sympathy with Christ, in remembrance of his forty days in the desert. In addition, one gives up something for Lent in order to learn an important lesson of reliance. Like, hypothetically giving up murdering people for lent wouldn't teach someone anything. Or pre-marital sex.

Also if you give up something you don't do anyway for Lent then that also doesn't count, in that you wouldn't learn anything by it.

So this Lenten weekend I'll be working on a new motion comic. Well, technically it's an animation. I'm not going to pretend that it's a comic, it's literally an animated thing I'll be working on. I'm embracing it.

So anyway I feel weird today. I hope you enjoy today's comic even though I see now that I kinda screwed up drawing her butt in that one panel. Not sure what I was thinking when I did that.

Currently listening to allegedly the first psychobilly band, The Monks, from their 1966 album. These dudes all got tonsure haircuts, which shows a strong commitment to their gig.

Comic transcript

Ildjarn, current admin at the computer lab, is talking with the comely Jennifer, who is in search of emails suggesting the lacrosse team intended to harm the black stripper.

Jennifer appears to be very happy that Ildjarn is abusing his authority as computer lab admin to ransack the emails of the lacrosse team in a search for incriminating material. Jennifer kisses Ildjarn's cheek with a loud smacking sound.

Ildjarn asks "Where should I send the copies?" Jennifer replies "I don't need the copies. Just go ahead and read all of them, okay? And let me know if you find anything weird!"

And then Jennifer leans really close to Ildjarn's ear and whispers her hot breath into it, "And if you find something weird, maybe we can read it together!"
