The 3 Daughters of King Coluath O'Hara - Page 4

I heard that Lena Dunham apologized for something today, so I did some amateur journalism and I created the following timeline that explains what was apologized for:

Aurora Perrineau alleges that it was in this year she was raped by Murray Miller, 36 year old writer on one of Lena Dunham's television programs.

Sep 2017
Perrineau takes (and allegedly passes) polygraph test detailing her accusations against Miller

Nov 2017
Perrineau files legal complaint against Miller

Miller and lawyer say claims are outrageous, say Perrineau asked for money first before she went to the cops, she tried to shake them down

Lena Dunham defends Miller, saying that Perrineau's accusation is one of 3% of rape cases that are misreported each year.

Nov 2017
Lena Dunham makes public apology for having publicly defended Miller, saying "it was the wrong time to come forward with such a statement", and wrong to "[put] our thumb on the scale".

Dec 2017
Miller and his lawyer retract the claim that Perrineau only went to police after Miller refused to pay her a “substantial” amount of money. Miller continues to deny rape accusation.

Aug 2018
Los Angeles DA announces that he has declined to file charges against Miller because of inconsistencies in witness statements and evidence.

Dec 2018
Lena Dunham writes opinion editorial for "2018 Women in Entertainment Power 100 issue of The Hollywood Reporter magazine." In editorial she apologizes specifically to Aurora Perrineau for having defended Miller. Dunham says that "I [Lena] had actually internalized the dominant male agenda that asks us to defend it no matter what."

So there's that. Thanks for visiting!

Comic transcript

You're reading a page from a comic book based on the ancient Irish Myth the Three daughters of King Coluath O'hara. The translation and story was from Jeremiah Curtin's book Irish Myths and Fairy Tales but don't go and spoil the comic by reading it. I'll be posting a page a week, and the first page is here. Please let me know in the comments if you want to buy a copy and end the suspense, and if enough people want it then hey I'll publish it. Thanks!

So the third sister put on the cloak, and she wished for the best white dog in the world. Presently the dog came, with one man attending, in a golden coach and four snow white horses, and took the youngest sister away. When the king came home, the stable boy told him what had happened while he was gone. The King was enraged beyond measure when he heard that his youngest daughter had wished for a white dog, and gone off with him. Later on, though, the first man brought his wife home, the oldest daughter of King Coluath O'hara. The first man asked his wife, "In what form will you have me in the daytime - as I am now in the daytime, or as I am now at night?" That's a weird question, huh? I wonder what she'll say! Find out next week!
